Self Hypnosis Can Help You Reach Your Goals

More than likely, you’ve heard of self hypnosis. Self hypnosis is the practice of putting yourself into a trance like state in order to focus on certain goals of life changes. Many people, however, are skeptical of self hypnosis and claim it doesn’t work. And they may be onto something, as how many people do you know have used self hypnosis and actually changed? Probably not many. Yet there are thousands of self hypnosis programs out there. There are seminars, some that charge up to five hundred dollars or more, there are CD and DVD programs and then there are those internet sites that charge to help you self hypnotize yourself.Don’t Talk Yourself Out Of It

Self hypnosis does, in fact, work, it’s just that most people don’t use it properly. In order for self hypnosis to work, it has to be practiced regularly. You can’t just listen to the CDs or watch the DVDs or log onto the internet sites one time and expect to be instantly changed. If it were that easy, the pharmaceutical companies who prescribe anti-depressants and other mood changing drugs, as well as therapists, would all be out of business. If it were that easy to change yourself, everyone would change themselves.

Unfortunately, it’s not that easy. It’s recommended that whenever you start a self hypnosis program, that you practice it every day at the same time for at least thirty days. That’s the minimum time requirement if you expect to see any results from your self hypnosis. Yet, even the thirty day requirement seems too good to be true. Many will ask, “You mean, all I have to do is listen to the CDs or watch the DVDs for thirty days and I’ll be cured or changed for the better? It’s really that easy?” However, even thirty days is sometimes too much to ask when it comes to your subconscious.

When you try to change yourself, your mind will sometimes try to work against you. You will begin to talk yourself out of listening to the CDs or watching the DVDs or from logging onto the internet sites. The reason your subconscious mind talks you out of bettering yourself is because the old you is comfortable. Change is very difficult for a lot of people. Many people dream of being rich, for instance, but not many people will never be rich because, deep down, they fear success. It’s just your mind’s way of preventing change.

What you have to do, when using self hypnosis, is you have to force yourself to set aside a little time each day, preferably at the same time, to listen to your hypnosis program. Even if your mind tries to talk you out of it, ignore that inner voice and turn on the program. If, after thirty days, you don’t see a difference, then at least you gave it your best shot. But, chances are, if you use the program as per its instructions for the allotted time, you will see results and you’ll be a naysayer against self hypnosis no longer.

Easy Way On How To Hypnotize Someone

Hypnotism is something that seems very elusive to people. This could be due to what many have witnessed in movies or possibly seen a collection of people hypnotized all at once. In it’s simplest form, hypnosis is simply a way to relax the mind through helping someone focus and alleviate blocks that may be keeping that individual from being in a relaxed state of mind. There are several ways that you can reach this state and many people are surprised to find that they actually are in a semi-hypnotized state of mind several times per day. How this happens is that people often daydream, become very relaxed or allow their minds to drift resulting in a semi-hypnotic state.Perhaps you are interested in learning how to hypnotize someone. If this is the case, there are plenty of courses available in the form of Cds, DVDs, on line courses and books at your disposal. There are also plenty of self hypnosis CDs available which cover a wide variety of subjects. They are used, for the most part, when an individual is dealing with an addiction or if they are trying to clear their mind of […]

Alternative Ways to Quit Smoking This New Year

With the ever-increasing price of cigarettes, and volumes of warnings that aim to increase the public’s awareness of the dangers of cigarette smoking, you’d think it would be a no-brainer for smokers to just up and quit the habit cold turkey. However, being a former smoker myself, I know that this statement is neither realistic, nor fair.Smoking is genuinely an addictive habit, not just mentally, although it certainly is psychologically addictive, but also physiologically, since nicotine is a substance that the body grows used to and craves, and when it is suddenly taken away, the withdrawal symptoms are anything but pleasant. These withdrawal symptoms are the reason that many smokers never make it past a few weeks quitting the habit. It’s also the reason that quitting smoking is so hard to do, especially the longer you’ve been doing it.I’ve heard it all when it comes to the creative ways that men and women both will try to kick the habit. Some try the cold turkey thing, although this rarely works unless you have an iron will and are able to naturally cope with the symptoms of withdrawal on your own. Some people try cigarette alternatives, like herbal […]
